Hello, I'm Chris Murphy — I specialize in creating engaging, user-centric interactive experiences.

FFF WordPress Theme

One of the most fun and often annoying things about being a web designer is the ability to change things on a whim. In this case, I've been looking at my site lately and though I still absolutely love the design, I'm thinking of exploring other options.

I had thought of incorporating a theme changer into the site, but that’s kind of pointless considering the amount of custom development work I did to compensate for some minor shortcomings of WordPress in terms of markup.

In any case, if I were to re-design I would not want this current theme to go to waste so Jon Snook mentioned that it might be interesting to offer this theme up for the WordPress community. If anyone is interested, let me know and I’ll post up my source files including PSD’s for folks who would like to make the them more generic. I have a couple design guidelines, but nothing earth shattering.

I know what you mean, as a designer you always try to inovate and keep things exciting for your visitors. I know how much hard work goes into setting up a WP theme from scratch and have it work beautifuly on all browsers and platforms.

So sharing it to the rest of the WP comunity not only gives it new life… but might even make it better in ways that you never thought possible.

In my case… im still struggling with getting mine to work in IE6 :(

Chris, I’ve always admired this theme, and keep coming back to it as an example of stunningly good, simple design. I think it’s fantastic that you’ve decided to release it.

When you get it packaged up, would you email it to me and I’ll announce it on my blog.

I too look at your page often for inspiration. It is an amazing design. I am particularly interested in how you achieved the “recent posts” sidebar on the left. In particular, the snippets of the post.

I very much look forward to having a look at your source!

    Cheers

Even better Chris would be a tutorial on making a wordpress theme…you mentioned you did a lot of “custom development”, plus the design itself is amazing. I’d love to know how to integrate this kind of design into wordpress.

Only about 3 days into learning WordPress – stumbled across your site/theme – ‘Wow!’ Exactly the clean, intelligible, attractive sort of presentation I’d aspire to. Crossing my fingers you’ll make it possible for users to change the color scheme… would love to see it in shades of grey

Great theme ! Stumbled upon it through Sadish and his excellent work and attitude.

I really like the theme you have crafted here, solves a lot of issues.

I only have briefly read about your work. Fuse ? interesting WOM Viral marketing concept. I remember standing across from Penn Station last year seeing the as of yet unopened for business FUEL store and marveling ant the oblique approach. Quite masterful, really. A link to a shot on my Flickr account, blurry but gets the mood.

This is very impressive design, but I’d like to notice that you use too much img tags. Maybe switch to CSS? :-)

    Hello Everyone,

I am a golfer myself and I like to play whenever I get a chance.
A short while ago, a very good friend of mine told me about a great golfing equipment and accessories website that has discounted prices on all their products, same day shipping in most cases and there is no state sales tax, they are paying that.
So if any golfer here is ready to save some money on quality products at highly discounted prices, you might want to check out their site at; http://hoffmangolf.com
