It looks like I forgot to include some essentials with the theme - forgive me, this is my first stab at releasing a public theme. So here are some quick details that will help you get this thing working.

WordPress Version: 2.0.5 (untested with newer versions)
Plugins:
Contact Form ][  by: Chip Cuccio
The Excerpt Reloaded by: Kaf Oseo
Filosofo Old-Style Upload by: Austin Matzko
Get Recent Comments by: Krischan Jodies

Remember that the wp-includes-hacks folder I included with the Theme contains modified versions of some of the core-files necessary for the theme to work.

Can you downgrade Wordpress? If not, will you be able to update the theme to work in wordpress 2.1? Not right now at this moment, but in the near future?

I’ve tested the theme on my local server with the latest version of WordPress and it seems to work fine. Keep in ming that you are going to have install the plugins I’ve outlined in this post (and activate them) as well over-write some WordPress core files with modified versions that I provided in the wp-includes-hacks directory bundled in the Theme folder.

Hi Chris! This is a great theme and we thank you for it! I don’t know if I’m going to use it for my website but I know that it inspired me a lot into re-thinking my website structure.

Now there is one thing that doesn’t work: I also installed your theme on my local server using WP 2.1 and it works fine, but the get_recent_comments function doesn’t display as it does on your website.

I cannot give you an example link but I looked on Dustin’s website http://syngamer.com/blog/ and it seems that he encountered the same problem with his installation - his recent comments don’t display well.

Can you help? Thanks!

After viewing my site and then this site, the Recent Comments are not the same, nor are the categories. The number in () is showing up below the category name making for a lot of wasted space.

Also, how would i put my blogroll under the bookmarks label? It would match the Categories and Pages and i like the image next to bookmarks on your site here :)

Hey folks, glad you all like the theme! In any case, ensure that you download and activate the plugins that I’ve mentioned in this post.

Some of you might experience some display issues regarding the categories listing - this is a result of using WordPress’ default core functions. You will need to overwrite some of the core files (at your own risk, so please back them up before you overwrite), with the ones that I provided in the theme folder.

The recent postings and recent postings are generated and controlled with the “Get Recent Comments” plugin I’ve mentioned in this posting.

When I get more time next week I will put together a little FAQ or help file and perhaps some updates to the theme. Keep in touch and thank you for your comments!

As for the Get Recent Comment Plugin, you have to edit the template and edit some proper tags in the option page of the plugin. But I just can’t display the excerpt of the recent posts. Thanks again for your amazing theme!

Change the template for Get Recent Comment plugin in the option page to
%comment_author %comment_excerpt.
But anyway, wait for the FAQ from Chris! :p

That grouped everything together, but it is still missing the formatting (mouse over image and static format) like on Chris’s site here.

Hey folks, be sure to replace some of the WordPress Core files with the files included in the wp-includes-hacks directory. This should solve a number of formatting and display problems. The files you need to replace (back the originals up first) are as follows:

template-functions-category.php
template-functions-general.php
template-functions-links.php
template-functions-post.php
functions-formatting.php
functions-post.php
links.php

Also for things like “Blogroll” and other categories, you will need to export a custom heading image from the Photoshop template I provided in wp-psd called “right_col_headers.psd”.

Still working on that FAQ - I’ll try to post it up before Friday.

Hi, I have tried it on WP 2.0.10 and I don’t get the article in the front page. In the left sidebar I have:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function the_excerpt_reloaded() in /home/ftpsite/wordstudio.cz/suomi/wp-content/themes/Lemon_Lime_v1.0.zip_FILES/sidebar.php on line 40

And in the admin, if I want to write some article, I get the error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function attribute_escape() in /home/ftpsite/wordstudio.cz/suomi/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2378

Why? I really wont to use this theme, but it’s not usable now on my site.. :-( please help me

Awesome theme! Only one thing I’d like to do that I haven’t figured out.

I like how it shows a full excerpt for the most recent post and then just lists the others down the page. However, I’d like to show the last TWO posts instead of just one.

Anyone know how to do this?
