I have a difficult time with color when it comes to my own projects -- client projects aren't a big deal, as they've already limited my choices (branding guidelines, etc.).

I've attempted to develop two more color schemes for this theme but at this point, you are the only one that I know of who has succeeded in coming up with a really good color variation of this theme ;)

There are so many fun techniques to working with color for web projects -- I'll probably detail a few in the future, but I'm glad you liked this article :D

I too love Colour Lovers, it's a great site. I also like Adobe's Kuler (http://kuler.adobe.com/). Deciding on the color scheme was actually the most difficult part of modifying your fantastic WordPress theme. What you have chosen works so well, that finding another combination that was equally aesthetically pleasing, but also original, took some time.

Your tips and suggestions are right-on and definitely things to think about (I have to be honest, I never even considered the emotional effect colors could have on readers, but that's such a good point).
