Hello, I'm Chris Murphy — I specialize in creating engaging, user-centric interactive experiences.

A Change of Course

Over the last few years, I’ve slowly changed the direction of my career–focusing less on visual design and more on the strategic side of web. That’s taken a fair bit of time away from posting my thoughts and sharing some of my experiences here. With the new year just around the corner, I’m once again, changing the course of my career combining my interests in Web Strategy and Front-end Development.

Those changes have also influenced my focus where software is concerned.

I’m saying goodbye to WordPress. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’ve had the pleasure to contribute to the community with themes and some hard-earned techniques/tips/tricks for working with WordPress. I’ll be shifting platforms to SilverStripe–an incredible framework for developers and web designers alike. Recent experience with that platform prompted me to re-evaluate what I should be investing time into. And the opportunities for implementing SilverStripe on small to large-scale projects is irresistible.

My WordPress themes are still going to be available on this site. And while changes aren’t going to be immediate, I’ll be archiving this blog once a new site is up. For now, you can also find me working with Theory Tank.

Happy Christmas, everyone!
